10 Finalists Named for Patty Kazmaier Trophy

Ten finalists have been selected for women’s college hockey’s top individual honor, the Patty Kazmaier trophy.

#2 Boston College and #3 Clarkson lead the way with three nominees each, while Wisconsin, Minnesota, Boston University, and Robert Morris each had one player selected.

Here are the nominees:

Victoria Bach, F, Boston University

Sydney Baldwin, D, Minnesota

Kristen Campbell, G, Wisconsin

Loren Gabel, F, Clarkson

Savannah Harmon, D, Clarkson

Brittany Howard, F, Robert Morris

Caitrin Lonergan, F, Boston College

Toni Ann Miano, D, Boston College

Shea Tiley, G, Clarkson

Daryl Watts, F, Boston College

The ten finalists will be narrowed down to three players that will attend the Patty Kazmaier ceremony on the weekend of the women’s Frozen Four.

BC freshman Daryl Watts is the presumptive favorite for the award, currently leading the nation with 40 goals and 79 points in 39 games this season. Her closest challenger is likely to be BU’s Victoria Bach, who has nearly single-handedly carried the Terriers this season, scoring 36 goals in 30 games.
