The televised audience should be a huge boon to the visibility of the women’s game, and is a huge victory for first year commissioner Katie Million.
Women’s college hockey has traditionally struggled to get their games on television. Last year’s Frozen Four was not televised live, though a tape-delayed airing of the game on Easter Sunday outdrew every televised men’s college hockey game last season.
