Wahlin Brothers Commit to UMass

The Minutemen add two forwards tearing up their respective leagues

In what appears to be a package deal, UMass has pulled a big recruiting coup out of the state of Minnesota by receiving commitments from Austin Bruins(NAHL) forward Brandon Wahlin as well as his younger Jake Wahlin who currently plays for White Bear Lake high school.

Brandon Wahlin is a '92 born that is having a fantastic overage year in the NAHL. He is currently tied for the league lead in scoring with 55 points through 43 points, and has led the Bruins to a dominating 32-7-5 record, which easily leads the league's Central division.

Jake, meanwhile, is a '96-born sophomore that is also putting up a lot of points this year. He's scored 28 goals and 28 assists through 23 games this season, and is rated as the second best sophomore high school hockey in the state of Minnesota in our Minnesota high school player rankings.

Both players are small, but electric scorers, and should provide a dangerous scoring combination for the Minutemen in the future.
