Western Michigan received a verbal commitment from Victory Honda U18 forward Aidan Muir on Monday. Muir is a 6'4" 180 lbs. forward, originally from Brampton, Ontario. Muir has scored 17 goals and 23 assists through 36 games with Victory Honda, which puts him in a tie for 22nd in the Tier I Elite AAA League.

Muir has had numerous offers to join both USHL and OHL teams this year, but has chosen to remain with Victory Honda for the year, where he is a captain. His size, as well as his excellent season has put him on the radar of several NHL teams for this year's NHL Draft. Muir will most likely play a year or two in the USHL after this season prior to attending Western Michigan.
