Christian Evers Commits to North Dakota

Defenseman Christian Evers has committed to North Dakota.

Christian Evers, a '97 born defenseman for the Omaha Lancers U16 AAA team, and one of the top players in the country among his age group has committed to North Dakota, according to his personal Twitter account (@CEvers97).

Despite his young age, Evers is already listed at 6'4" and 195 lbs. and has some serious skill to go along with that size. Here is what I wrote about Evers last month after the NAHL Showcase tournament in Blaine, Minnesota:

Christian Evers-D-Omaha Lancers U16-Already a huge kid, listed at 6'4", and clearly the top D on a team with a pretty strong defense. Very good hands and feet for a player of his size. Definitely a big time prospect.

Evers is one of a handful of players in a tremendously deep group of '97 born defensemen across the US, and appears to have an extremely bright future. At a minimum, he would have two more years of high school after this one, meaning the earliest he would be joining North Dakota would be for the 2015-2016 season.
