Former Alaska goaltender Erik Largen has been hired as the program's newest assistant coach, replacing the departed Corbin Schmidt.
A native of Fairbanks, Largen was the head coach at Division III Marian University this past season. Prior to that, he had been an assistant coach with the Tri-City Storm in the USHL and Janesville Jets in the NAHL. He played for the Nanooks from 2006-2008.
