Lake Superior State assistant coach Peter Aubry has left his position at the school to become the developmental goaltending coach for the Chicago Blackhawks, according to a press release from the school on Monday.
Aubry spent just one season in Sault Ste. Marie under head coach Damon Whitten. Prior to that, Aubry worked three years as an assistant coach at his alma mater Mercyhurst.
Aubry's duties with the Blackhawks will include coaching goalies for the 'Hawks AHL affiliate the Rockford IceHogs, working with the organization's ECHL goalies, and scouting goalies for the NHL Draft.
