The WCHA has announced a one-game suspension to Michigan Tech's Cliff Watson as the result of an illegal hit to the head against Bemidji State last Saturday.
Watson was assessed a two-minute penalty for contact-to-the-head elbowing at 9:44 of the third period of Saturday's game. Upon further review, that penalty was upped to a one-game suspension.
Watson will be ineligible to play next Friday when Michigan Tech plays Alaska-Anchorage in Anchorage. He will be eligible to return for the Saturday game.
