Northern Michigan Head Coach Walt Kyle Taken Off Administrative Leave

Last week, Northern Michigan announced that head hockey coach Walt Kyle, along with NMU administrator Bridget Berube Carter were being placed on administrative.

Kyle missed Northern Michigan's trip to Penn State last week, but today, according to Marquette Mining Journal reporter Ryan Stieg, Kyle has been taken off leave:

Northern Michigan athletic director Forrest Karr stated last Friday that the administrative leave was a "personnel issue" and that it was standard practice of the school to not publicly disclose personnel issues. He did, however, state that the reason for the leave of both Kyle and Berube Carter did not pertain to NCAA compliance issues.

Whatever the said 'personnel issue'--and there's been plenty of salacious speculation--it appears that any issues relating to it are now solved and hopefully all can move forward.
