Bemidji State and Minnesota State will face off tonight for the second game of their two-game WCHA conference series. Minnesota State won Friday's game 6-3, though not without trouble. After the Mavericks took an early 2-0 lead, Bemidji State came storming back, taking a 3-2 lead into the second intermission. The Mavericks had a strong third period, including a pair of power play goals from Bryce Gervais to win 6-3.
Both teams made a few line-up changes for tonight.
For the home Mavericks:
The big change for the Mavericks is in goal. Stephon Williams will start tonight's game after relieving a struggling Cole Huggins after two periods last night.
The Beavers will also be making a change in goal. Here's their line chart:
Andrew Walsh will start in goal tonight after Michael Bitzer manned the net last night. Freshman Jordan Heller will play on the third line with Gerry and Myles Fitzgerald, replacing the third triplet on that line, Leo Fitzgerald.
