Comcast to Air Minnesota State Games in Twin Cites Area

Matt Christians

Comcast announced today that they will be showing a select number of Minnesota State hockey games on Channel 999 for Comcast subscribers in Minnesota and western Wisconsin, including this Saturday's game against Minnesota Duluth.

The full schedule of Minnesota State games will include:

  • October 18, 2014:                   Minnesota State vs. Minnesota Duluth
  • October 24 & 25, 2014: Minnesota State vs. Alabama Huntsville
  • November 7, 2014: Minnesota State vs. Bemidji State
  • December 5 & 6, 2014: Minnesota State vs. Alaska
  • December 12 & 13, 2014: Minnesota State vs. Princeton
  • January 30 & 31, 2015: Minnesota State vs. Ferris State
  • February 6 & 7, 2015: Minnesota State vs. Alaska Anchorage
  • February 27 & 28, 2015: Minnesota State vs. Michigan Tech
  • March 13 & 14, 2015: Minnesota State vs. TBA - WCHA Playoffs

This is basically the same agreement the Mavericks had last year, where their home games are shown on the channel if St. Cloud State isn't at home or another network has rights to a St. Cloud home game. It's good to see that agreement continue, which increases the amount of college hockey available in the Twin Cities television market.
