Michigan State senior goaltender Jake Hildebrand looked more like the reigning Big Ten player of the year Tuesday afternoon when he robbed Michigan Tech's Tyler Heinonen of a goal during the Great Lakes Invitational semifinal between the two teams in Detroit.

The save kept a 1-0 lead at the time for MSU, which subsequently successfully killed a 5x3 power play by the Huskies.
Hildebrand entered the game 56th out of 79 college goalies nationally with a .902 save percentage. The Spartans, meanwhile, have won one out of its last ten games.
Michigan State leads Michigan Tech 2-0 in the second period. Michigan and Northern Michigan are the other two teams in this year's GLI.
