A total of nine out of the 20 players selected hail from the state of Minnesota: Tufte, Senden, Bellows, Wait, Mattson, Kiersted, Rossini, Edquist, and Rasmussen. With four others players from the state making the NTDP squad, it marks a very strong birth year for the state.
Five players tendered to USHL squads--Knierim, Crone, Daschke, Farmer, and Rossini--also made the team. Three players have already committed to the CHL, including two players--Kopacka and Gettinger that have already signed with the Sault Ste Marie Greyhounds of the OHL.
Jeff Cox, who attended the Select 16 camp, will have a full write-up and player rankings from this year's camp for SBN College Hockey on Monday.
