MONTREAL -- Call it McDavid vs. Eichel, NCAA vs. CHL, or whatever you want, but it just doesn't get any bigger than Canada vs. the United States for the top spot in Group A at the 2015 World Junior Championship at the Bell Centre on New Year's Eve. That is, unless the Americans and their acquaintances from the north meet again with a Gold Medal on the line in Toronto.
As expected Thatcher Demko will start in net for the Americans while he'll be opposed at the other end by Eric Comrie, who Team Canada announced as its starter on Tuesday.
Here's the lineups for the U.S. and Canada in this pivotal 4 p.m. matchup on the NHL Network across the United States and on TSN in Canada.
