Michigan announced their complete schedule for the 2015-2016 season on Thursday.

The schedule does include some interesting games: a weekend series at Boston University, playing Penn State at Madison Square Garden, the always entertaining Great Lakes Invitational. But even the most fervent detractors of the Big Ten Conference and college hockey's realignment have to look at Michigan's home schedule and wince.

The Wolverines' home non-conference schedule will feature Mercyhurst, Robert Morris and Dartmouth for weekend series in the first half of the season, and a single game against Ferris State in the latter half of the season. That's on top of a Big Ten home schedule that features a home series against Minnesota in December and not much else. To top it off, Michigan plays at Yost Arena just six times in the second half of the season, and will go over a month--January 17th to February 19th without a game on their home rink.

When first conceived, there was hope that the Big Ten Conference would provide teams like Michigan more flexibility in their non-conference scheduling. But the Wolverines have had a difficult time getting local teams to meet their demands in scheduling agreements, leading to a string of less-than-impressive eastern opponents. The struggles of the other teams in the Big Ten hasn't helped add intrigue to the schedule either.

This will be the first outdoor games for both Denver and Colorado College.

Miami has announced their schedule for the 2015-2016.

The RedHawks open their season by hosting the defending national champion, and the team that ended their season, in Providence College in what should be an excellent series.

Other non-conference series include home-and-home series against in-state rivals Ohio State and Bowling Green. They will also travel to St. Lawrence for a weekend series and host RPI for a weekend series.

The RedHawks also get a relative break in the NCHC schedule, drawing only single series against North Dakota and Denver next season.

Minnesota Duluth has announced their schedule for the 2015-2016 season.

The Bulldogs will be the odd team out of next year's North Star College Cup, but still have a nice non-conference schedule.

Their season opens with back-to-back home-and-home series against in-state rivals Bemidji State. Other non-conference series against the Bulldogs, in addition to their 24-game NCHC conference slate, include a trip to Notre Dame for a pair of games, hosting UMass Lowell for a pair of games, and a road trip to Marquette to face Northern Michigan in the second half of the season.

Nebraska-Omaha announced their schedule for the 2015-2016 season on Wednesday.

The Mavericks are coming off their first appearance in the Frozen Four this past season, and will begin play in a brand new on-campus arena next season. In addition to the new home, they will also move up the start time of their Friday games to 7:00pm.

Omaha beings the season on the road with a series against Minnesota State and a road trip to Vermont. The first game at new UNO Community Arena will be played October 23rd, the first of a two-game series against Air Force. UNO's other non-conference match-ups are home series against Ohio State and Arizona State.

The NCHC released their composite conference schedule for next season.

Here is the full schedule.

Once again, all teams will play 24 conference games, equaling a total of 96 conference games. Conference play begins Halloween weekend with the final week of the regular season being March 4th-5th.

In a bit of departure from tradition, all eight teams will be in conference action for only the final three weekends of the season, rather than the final four weekends as they did in the prior two years. It should still set up for a fun, and tightly-contested final few weeks of the seasons as teams jockey for playoff position.

Next season will be the first season at the Division I level for Arizona State University, and on Monday evening, the school's first schedule was leaked.

The full schedule can be seen here.

As expected, the Sun Devils aren't playing a full Division I schedule in their opening year, and most of their games against Division I opponents will take place on the road, but it's a nice opening schedule for the squad.

In total, they will play 23 games against current Division I schools, with 21 of those being on the road, and a pair of home games coming against Yale. Also on the schedule are rival Arizona, D-II Southern New Hampshire University, Canadian school University of Alberta, club teams from Ohio and Liberty University, D-III's Wisconsin-Eau Claire, and a pair of exhibitions against the US NTDP U18 team.

Their season begins on October 3rd with a game against Arizona, with their first Division I games coming a week later when they meet Alaska-Anchorage and Alaska-Fairbanks at the Kendall Hockey Classic in Anchorage, Alaska.
