The NCHC has announced a one-game suspension for Minnesota Duluth junior defenseman Wyatt Kaiser, stemming from a major penalty assessed against Kaiser in Friday night’s 5-2 loss to Wisconsin.
Kaiser was initially assessed a two-minute high sticking penalty on the play, but Wisconsin used their coach’s challenge and after a three-minute video review, the penalty was upgraded to a five minute major penalty and game misconduct.
If anything, Kaiser is probably lucky that the play will only cost him one game.

Kaiser will miss Saturday night’s rematch against the Badgers and will be eligible to return to the ice next Friday when Minnesota Duluth hosts Cornell.
