Tanner Jaillet Wins 2017 Richter Award

Denver goalie Tanner Jaillet has been named the 2017 recipient of the Mike Richter Award, awarded by Let’s Play Hockey magazine to the NCAA’s top goaltender.

Jaillet posted a 27-5-4 record with the top-ranked Pioneers with a 1.83 goals against average and .928 save percentage. Despite not posting a shutout this season for Denver, Jaillet allowed two or fewer goals 28 times in 37 starts.

In addition to the Richter Award, Jaillet was also named first team all-NCHC, NCHC goalie of the year, and a second team West All-American.

Jaillet is the fourth winner of the award, joining Thatcher Demko(2016), Zane McIntyre(2015) and Connor Hellebuyck(2014).
