College Hockey on TV: NCHC announces 2016-17 CBS Sports Net Schedule

For the third straight year CBS Sports Net will nationally broadcast 14 NCHC games throughout the season's second half.

All 8 teams will be featured at least twice in the lead up to the NCHC Frozen Faceoff, the conference announced Tuesday. Defending champion North Dakota leads the way with four appearances.

This season's slate of nationally televised games kick off December 3rd with the Fighting Hawks facing Frozen Four semifinalist Boston College at Madison Square Garden for the College Hockey Showdown.

CBS Sports Net will broadcast a pair of college hockey doubleheaders on January 27th and February 17th.

Other big games include a pair between Denver and Omaha, two teams that made the Frozen Four over the past two seasons. The Pioneers host January 27th before going to Baxter Arena the final week of the regular season. CBS Sports Net also has a game between the 2015-16 NCHC regular season (North Dakota) and conference tournament champion (St. Cloud State) February 3rd.

Four NCHC teams made the NCAA Tournament this past season while two - North Dakota and Denver - reached the Frozen Four.
