In the aftermath of winning the national title, speculation turned to which top North Dakota players would be returning next year, and which players would sign a pro contract.

Star freshman and first round pick of the Vancouver Canucks Brock Boeser put speculation on his future to rest early, tweeting that he plans to come back to Grand Forks for another season.

Boeser led North Dakota in scoring this season with 27-33-60 in 42 games this season, including the game-winning goal in the national championship game against Quinnipiac. We ranked Boeser as the second-best NHL prospect in the NCAA this season, behind recently signed Winnipeg Jets prospect Kyle Connor.

Boeser's return should be a big boost to North Dakota's line-up as they try to defend their national title next season.
