North Dakota's Mark MacMillan out indefinitely with lower body injury

MacMillan leads UND with 16 goals in 29 games this season.

North Dakota is indefinitely without senior forward and assistant captain Mark MacMillan for the second time this season, the University announced Tuesday.

MacMillan suffered a lower body injury Saturday in North Dakota's 3-1 win over St. Cloud State blocking a Jonny Brodzinski shot. He will undergo surgery Wednesday. Although UND did not say MacMillan would miss the rest of the season, the NCHC leaders and #1 team in the Pairwise do not have too much time left with one weekend of regular season play remaining.

The senior, a 2010 4th draft pick by the Montreal Canadiens and #54 in the SB Nation College Hockey Top 100 NHL Prospects, leads UND with 16 goals in 29 games this season and has 99 points in his career. MacMillan missed 4 games earlier this year following wrist surgery.
