The NCHC held their annual league awards banquet in downtown Minneapolis Thursday evening prior to tomorrow's start of the Frozen Faceoff. Hobey Baker finalists Joey LaLeggia and Zane McIntyre walked away with the league's player of the year and goalie of the year awards respectively.
Here were the players that walked away with awards:
Player of Year: Joey LaLeggia, Denver
Coach of the Year: Dave Hakstol, North Dakota
Goaltender of the Year: Zane McIntyre, North Dakota
Forward of the Year: Trevor Moore, Denver
Defensive Forward of the Year: Mark MacMillan, North Dakota
Rookie of the Year: Danton Heinen, Denver(unanimous selection)
Offensive Defenseman of the Year: Joey LaLeggia, Denver
Sportsmanship Award: Nick Oliver, St. Cloud State
Scholar-Athlete of the Year: Nick Mattson, North Dakota
