Denver erased a 3-2 third period deficit against Minnesota Duluth in the first game of their NCHC playoff series to win 4-3, thanks to a hat trick from forward Ty Loney, which included the game's deciding goal.
But should that goal have counted?
Courtesy of @CampBenCh on Twitter, here is a GIF of that goal, which, as you'll see, is awfully close to being deflected in with a high stick.
Again, that is very, very close to being a high stick, though I'm not sure if I see any conclusive evidence that it was definitely a high stick, so I can understand why the officials stuck with the call on the ice. We'd love to hear your opinion though.
