Denver will be without head coach Jim Montgomery tonight following the death of his father.
The man who impacted my life the most has passed away. I will miss our daily phone calls and the wisdom and love you gave me. Love you Dad
— Jim Montgomery (@DUCoachMonty) February 13, 2015
In his place acting as head coach will be DU assistant coach David Carle. The Pioneers (16-9-1, 9-7-0-0 NCHC) face North Dakota on the road in a NCHC series. Denver, fifth in the conference trail second-place UND by four points and NCHC leader Nebraska-Omaha by five. (NCHC games are worth three points.)
Our thoughts are with the Montgomery and Denver families.
