NCHC Suspends North Dakota's Drake Caggiula One Game

Matt Dewkett

The NCHC has announced a one-game suspension for North Dakota's Drake Caggiula following a hit to the head of a Colorado College player in Saturday's 2-0 North Dakota. The incident in question occurred at 14:01 of the second period and Caggiula was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct on the play.

Caggiula will miss North Dakota's next game on Friday at home against Wisconsin. Caggiula is both North Dakota's leading scorer this season with 2-7-9 in eight games, and their active career scoring leader with 85 points in 131 career games.

It was a rough weekend for college hockey suspensions, as three other players were suspended for incidents on Friday night.
