Garrett Cecere Leaves Colorado College

Matt Christians

The hits keep coming for 0-4-0 Colorado College. Sophomore defenseman Garrett Cecere informed the Tigers yesterday that he is leaving the program to return to junior hockey, as reported by Joe Paisley of the Colorado Spring Gazette.

Cecere committed to Colorado College at a young age when the program was still coached by Scott Owens, though he certainly didn't hurt for ice time under Mike Haviland's regime. Cecere only missed one game last season, and played in all four games this season for the Tigers.

Cecere's departure leaves the Tigers with 29 rostered players, with 14 of them being freshmen.
