North Dakota's Troy Stecher Could Return for Nebraska-Omaha Series

Matt Christians

North Dakota sophomore defenseman Troy Stecher has been out out of the line-up since December 6th after suffering a serious leg injury, crashing into the boards late in a game against Lake Superior State.

Today, Brad Schlossman of the Grand Forks Herald reported that Stecher has been skating with the team and could potentially return to the line-up this weekend for #1 North Dakota's huge series at #5 Nebraska-Omaha.

Stecher was North Dakota's best defenseman prior to his injury. He's been out for nearly two months, so his conditioning isn't likely where it needs to be, and he might not be 100% by this weekend, but getting him back into the line-up would be a nice boost for North Dakota ahead of a huge weekend series.
