NCHC Suspends Minnesota Duluth's Dominic Toninato One Game; Omaha's Brian O'Rourke Two Games

Matt Christians

The NCHC has announced one-game supplemental suspensions for Minnesota Duluth's Dominic Toninato and Nebraska-Omaha's Brian O'Rourke. Toninato will be suspended for tonight's game against Western Michigan. O'Rourke was given a two-game suspension, meaning he will sit out tonight's series finale vs. Colorado College, and Omaha's next game.

Toninato was suspended after the NCHC reviewed a five-minute kneeing major Toninato committed in the first period of last night's game against Western Michigan.

Here's a GIF of the play in question:

O'Rourke was called for a five-minute major for interference in the first period of last night's game against Colorado College. After reviewing the play, the NCHC determined there was direct contact to the head on the play, necessitating the suspension.
