St. Cloud State's Ethan Prow Out Four Weeks with Upper Body Injury

Matt Christians

St. Cloud State junior defenseman Ethan Prow will miss significant time with an upper body injury suffered in the second period of Friday night's 3-1 victory over Miami.

After Saturday night's game, St. Cloud State head coach Bob Motzko said that the initial prognosis is that Prow will be out four weeks, but that he will be re-evaluated early next week when some of the initial swelling from the injury subsides. "We're sure hoping somebody comes forward and says something different," said Motzko, of the four-week time frame.

Prow has been a top pairing defenseman for the Huskies this season, and a key fixture on their power play. He has scored 2-4-6 for the Huskies, with four of those points coming with the man advantage.

Barring a more favorable diagnosis later this week, Prow would miss St. Cloud State's next three series, and hopefully be ready to return for the Huskies February 13th-14th series at Minnesota Duluth.
