One day after Mikey Anderson became the first player to sign a USHL Tender for next season, Omaha U16 '99 forward Baron Thompson has joined him by tendering with the Dubuque Fighting Saints for next season:
Thompson is a huge power forward, listed at 6'5", that committed to Maine this past November. He is originally from Lakeville, Minnesota, but spent this past season with the Jr. Lancers AAA program.
Signing a tender means that Thompson will be on Dubuque's roster for next season, and will dress for at least 55% of the team's games. Dubuque forfeits their first round selection in the Phase I Futures Draft to sign Thompson early.
