Indiana Wins USHL's Clark Cup Over Waterloo

Indiana goes out with a bang by winning the USHL title.

The Indiana Ice got a pair of third goals by Alex Talcott and Brian Pinho to come from behind and knock off the Waterloo Blackhawks in a sold-out Young Arena in Waterloo in the fifth and deciding game of the USHL's Clark Cup finals by a score of 3-2.

The victory is a bit bittersweet for the Ice. With a new pro hockey team coming into town, and the Ice unable to secure a full-time home, the USHL announced that the Ice franchise will be going dormant after this season. It's a shame for the USHL to lose one of the league's better run franchises, but what a way for them to go out. Despite knowing for the final months of the season that any returning players would be distributed around the league once the season was over in a dispersal draft, the Ice were able to put aside those off-ice distractions and put together an incredible playoff run.
