Green Bay(USHL) and former University of Michigan goalie Jared Rutledge made 26 saves on Saturday night in a 3-0 win over the Youngstown Phantoms en route to his 21st victory and second shutout of the season. But more significantly, after reviewing video, the USHL has decided to credit him with a goal, first goal scored by a goalie in the USHL this season.

As you can see below in a video of the play, Rutledge is the last player to touch the puck before Youngstown puts the puck into their own net.

Current Providence goalie Jon Gillies was the last USHL goalie to be credited with a goal nearly two years ago on April 12th, 2012. Current Nebraska-Omaha goalie Ryan Massa was the last goalie to directly shoot a puck into the opposing net on May 1st, 2010.
