On the eve of the NHL Draft, US Hockey Report dropped a bombshell on Twitter that Boston College’s top recruit Eeli Tolvanen, expected to be a first round draft choice in tomorrow’s NHL Draft, has not been able to meet admissions standards at Boston College.
A tough hit for the Eagles: Eeli Tolvanen, a likely first round pick tomorrow, has received a thumbs down from the BC admissions department.

Tolvanen is expected to be selected somewhere in the mid-first round of tomorrow’s NHL Draft. His CHL rights are owned by the Oshawa Generals, who selected him in last summer’s CHL expansion draft. Tolvanen would also have the option of signing with whichever team drafts him and being eligible to play in the AHL next year.
