Boston University sophomore center Jakob Forsbacka Karlsson has signed a three-year NHL entry level contract with the Boston Bruins.
Forsbacka Karlsson was perhaps the best complete two-way center in the NCAA this past season.
The Stockholm, Sweden native had 14 goals and 19 assists in 39 games for the Terriers this past season. He posted 10 goals and 20 helpers as a freshman.
The Bruins drafted Forsbacka Karlsson in the second round of the 2015 NHL Draft out of the Omaha Lancers in the USHL.
Forsbacka Karlsson is the second Terrier to be scooped up early by the Bruins this off-season, joining classmate Charlie McAvoy who played his first two professional games for the Providence Bruins over the weekend.
