After two seasons at Boston University, defenseman Brandon Fortunato is leaving the Terriers' program, according to a report by Mark Divver.
The '96 from Albertson, NY has one year of junior eligibility remaining. The Fargo Force own his USHL rights. Fortunato, who played for the US NTDP before heading to BU, was originally committed to Harvard.
Fortunato saw power play time at BU. In 79 games he had six goals and 34 assists. According to sources, his decision was hockey related and not a discipline or academic issue. He would have been pressed for ice time and power play opportunity with Dante Fabro and Chad Krys arriving on campus this fall.
