Tampa, Fla. -- Quinnipiac and Boston College will meet in Thursday's first semifinal (5 p.m. ET, ESPN2) at the 2016 Frozen Four at Amalie Arena.
It's a battle of the old guard and new school with the upstart Bobcats looking to capture their first ever NCAA Championship this weekend. Standing in their way first is one of the behemoths of the sport -- the five-time national champion Eagles.
This semifinal should be an interesting match-up as Quinnipiac, one of the best possession teams in college hockey, looks to keep the puck off the sticks of BC's high-end skill players. While the Bobcats will likely generate more chances, the Eagles have the firepower to strike at any moment.
