BOSTON -- Good evening and welcome inside Agganis Arena on the campus of Boston University where the No. 3/4 Terriers tune up for the 2016-17 regular season one final time, hosting the U.S. National Team Development Program's Under-18 Team in their second and final exhibition game of the season.
Faceoff is set for 7 p.m. and the game will be streamed for free on GoTerriers.com/TerrierTV. It is the first game of the U-18's weekend pair in Boston as the team heads down the road to No. 12 Harvard on Saturday night.
The Terriers lost this same exhibition game last Oct. 16, but four current BU freshmen contributed to the winning side of that 7-4 contest. Kieffer Bellows scored two goals and one assist, while Clayton Keller and Chad Krys combined for four helpers and Jake Oettinger made 41 saves in goal. It was BU's first-ever loss to the U.S. Under-18 Team in seven meetings.
Freshmen played a big role in BU's first exhibition game last Saturday, a 10-2 thrashing of Prince Edward Island. Keller posted a hat trick in his collegiate debut, but Patrick Harper outdid him with a five-goal performance and two assists.
Dante Fabbro and junior Brandon Hickey also scored for the Terriers, who are now set for their final test before opening the season Saturday at Colgate. BU went 6-for-11 on the power play against UPEI, while Harper's final tally came shorthanded.
