SB Nation All-Hockey East Teams

Last week, I unveiled my ballot for the Hockey East All-Rookie Team. I am a firm believer in the best players making the All-Hockey East teams regardless of year in school and not attempting to spread the love. Hockey East only does a first and second team, but we'll do three teams instead of honorable mentions.

Lastly, my selections for the three All-Hockey East teams are based on performance in conference games this season. They are not based on the probability of future success in the NHL. If it were, Michael Matheson would have made one of the three teams, but for as much skill as he shows on certain shifts, he wasn't consistently one of the best six defensemen in Hockey East this winter.

There were certainly other tough omissions such as UConn goaltender Rob Nichols, BU freshman defenseman Brandon Hickey and Massachusetts forward Frank Vatrano, among others.
