Vermont at Boston University: Pregame Notes and Line Combinations

Pregame notes and line combinations from Agganis Arena on the campus of Boston University before the Terriers host Vermont to open a Hockey East weekend series on Friday.

BOSTON -- Good evening and welcome inside Agganis Arena on the campus of Boston University where the No. 11/12 Terriers are set to host Vermont in the first game of a Hockey East weekend series. Faceoff is set for 7:30 p.m. on this Friday night.

The Terriers skated to a 3-3 tie with Cornell last Saturday night at Madison Square Garden, but retained hold of the Kelley-Harkness Cup following a shootout victory. With the result, BU remained unbeaten (3-0-2) in their five Red Hot Hockey meetings since 2007.

Freshman Jordan Greenway's first collegiate goal came at a critical time in The World's Most Famous Arena, tying the game with 3:55 left in regulation to send the game to overtime. The Terriers are 5-1-3 in their last nine games with the lone setback in that stretch coming against Michigan on Nov. 21.

BU made up 2-0 and 3-2 deficits in New York City with sophomore A.J. Greer scoring the first tying goal and adding an assist on Bobo Carpenter's second collegiate goal in the final period.

UVM has lost three consecutive games to begin a five-game road trip, including Sunday's 4-0 decision to Penn State in the Philadelphia College Hockey Faceoff at Wells Fargo Center. Catamount junior Mike Santaguida stopped a career-high 42 saves in the contest and made at least 13 in each period.

Sophomore Jarrid Privitera and junior Mario Puskarich have scored five goals apiece through 14 games and share the Catamount team lead. Puskarich's 12 points are tops on the team and he enters the weekend just three shy of 75 for his collegiate career.
