Nathan Billitier Leaves Notre Dame for the OHL

Matt Dewkett

Notre Dame freshman defenseman Nathan Billitier had his OHL rights traded on Monday from North Bay to the Kingston Frontenacs, and while official word has not come down yet, the Frontenacs fully anticipate Billitier to report to the team.

On Tuesday, Billitier skated with the Frontenacs at practice, and is likely to skate in a game with them this coming Friday that would negate his NCAA eligibility.

Billitier, a freshman from New York state that played with the National Team Development Program prior to enrolling at Notre Dame, appeared in nine games for the Irish and did not register a point. He mostly split time with defenseman Tony Bretzman as the team's sixth defenseman.
