BOSTON -- Kevin Goumas scored twice and Justin Agosta found the back of the net for No. 4 New Hampshire as the Wildcats defeated No. 3 Providence, 3-1, in the second Hockey East semifinal from the TD Garden. Dick Umile's team, needed a win to survive and to keep any NCAA hopes alive, jumped on the Friars for three goals in the second period.
Goumas has five goals and an assist over his past two games. New Hampshire will meet UMass Lowell in Saturday's Hockey East final at 7 p.m. ET.
