BOSTON -- For the third time in four years Northeastern and Boston College will meet in the final of the Beanpot. The two teams advanced to next Monday's championship game of the 62nd annual Beanpot in different fashion.

Northeastern received goal scoring from six different players as the Huskies routed Harvard, 6-0. Clay Witt made 27 saves in goal and Dalen Hedges, Kevin Roy, Torin Snydeman, Braden Pimm, Colton Saucerman and Mike Szmatula tallied goals. Szmatula added two assists to give the freshman class two goals and six helpers on the evening.

Boston College pulled out to a 2-0 lead over archrival Boston University in the second semifinal, but had to hang on for dear life as the Terriers rallied in the third period. Thatcher Demko held strong, only allowing a wrist shot score by BU freshman Robbie Baillargeon, as BC won, 3-1. Boston Bruins draft pick Ryan Fitzgerald scored a first period goal and Kevin Hayes added his 20th of the season in the second period. Johnny Gaudreau picked up the secondary assist on the Hayes tally, giving him at least a point in 22 straight games. The Hobey Baker Award favorite also added the empty net tally with 30.5 seconds remaining. Demko finished with 25 saves for the Eagles.

Boston University and Harvard will fight it out for third place in the Consolation Game at 4:30 p.m. before Northeastern and Boston College take main stage for the Championship Game at 7:30 p.m. on New England Sports Network (NESN).
