BOSTON -- Good evening from Agganis Arena where the No. 13/15 Boston University Terriers (14-12-2, 11-7-2 Hockey East) welcome No. 12 UMass-Lowell (16-9-2, 10-8-2 HE) for a crucial league match-up and their second in as many meetings in Boston.
The River Hawks opened the season series between the clubs with a 4-3 win at Agganis on Jan. 19. After rookie Matt Lane scored the first goal five minutes in, the visitors scored four straight to outlast the Terriers.
BU is just 2-5-2 in its last nine games and is also winless in its last four games at home, dating back to an overtime win over RPI on Jan. 4. Over the last 12 contests since the beginning of the calendar year, the Terriers have played to nine one-goal games.
The River Hawks have gone 12-2-1 since suffering a weekend sweep at the hands of UNH on Dec. 1 and are led by Wilmington, Mass. native and junior Joseph Pendenza's ten goals and 24 points.
