Kevin Goumas and Nick Sorkin each contributed a goal and an assist as New Hampshire downed Brown, 4-2, in a nonconference game Tuesday night at the Whittemore Center in front of a sparse midweek crowd.

UMass Goaltender Steven Mastalerz Injured
UMass junior goalie Steven Mastalerz was injured in the second period of Friday's 4-1 loss at New Hampshire. He played through the pain, but was sidelined for Saturday's home game. Freshmen Alex Wakaluk and Mac Haight gave up nine goals on 33 shots.

Gaudreau, Boston College Too Much for Army
Ten different Eagles scored as Boston College scored 11 times for the first time in the Jerry York era. The game's number one star, Johnny Gaudreau, had two goals and two assists. His brother Matt scored his first collegiate goal in his first game.

Hockey East Saturday Night Recap: UNH, PC Sweep
UNH, winless in six straight heading into the weekend, took out its frustration on UMass, outscoring the Minutemen 13-1 in the series. Providence scored three times in the third period to rally for a 4-2 victory and sweep its series over Merrimack.

Three Freshmen Score as Vermont Upends Maine, 4-3
It wasn't the prettiest game for either team, but three goals in the second period helped salvage a weekend split for Vermont. The Catamounts survived a late Maine rally to hang on for a 4-3 victory.

Bischoff scores winner for Minnesota
The freshman defenseman, one of 4 to score all 5 Minnesota goals Saturday, scored the game-winner with 11:03 left for a 5-4 win and two-game series with Notre Dame. Despite the loss, Fighting Irish sophomore Mario Lucia scored twice vs his father.

Maine Goes for Sweep of UVM: Line Charts
Maine will attempt to sweep its second consecutive series at Alfond Arena Saturday night against Vermont. The Black Bears received tremendous goaltending from Martin Ouellette which allowed for the heroics of Ben Hutton and Steven Swavely who scored.
