According to the Boston College Hockey Blog, sophomore defenseman Colin Sullivan was not present at practice on Tuesday. A check of the school's athletic website also reveals the Milford, Conn. native is no longer listed on the team's roster.
It is unclear where the Avon Old Farms alum will be headed next. The Montreal Canadiens selected Sullivan in the seventh round of the 2011 NHL Draft with the 198th overall pick. Sullivan, a '93, could play junior hockey for the rest of the season.
Jerry York's Eagles open up their season Thursday in Ann Arbor against the University of Michigan. Boston College defeated St. Francis Xavier, 8-2, in an exhibition game this past Sunday.
