Canton, NY - Northeastern overcame a 2-0 deficit to bulldoze past St. Lawrence, 6-3, and remain undefeated on the season. Senior goaltender Clay Witt made 39 stops to help preserve the win for Jim Madigan's club.
Sophomore Kevin Roy potted two goals to increase his total to seven on the young season. The Anaheim Ducks prospect is tied for the national lead in goals with RPI junior Ryan Haggerty.
The freshmen have been a major reason for Northeastern's success through five games. Tonight it was Dalen Hedges with three assists, and Mike Szmatula picked up two helpers to increase his national lead in rookie scoring.
St. Lawrence and Northeastern will faceoff again Saturday night in the series finale.
