First Star: Matt O'Connor (BU)
In their last four games, UNH had averaged five goals per game and O'Connor, who'd allowed five goals to BC his last time out, wasn't in a desirable place, having to hold off another number one team on the road, but this time he did just that, keeping the Wildcats to just two goals despite nine power play chances for UNH.
Second Star: Nick Saracino (Providence)
The Friars seemed cooked when Saracino's shot found the back of the net behind Parker Milner with just 11 seconds remaining in the third period, pushing Providence into a tie with Boston College, holding off Jerry York's NCAA record celebration for another day and making Providence the easy argument for fourth-best team in the conference.
Third Star: Sean Maguire (BU)
The Pittsburgh Penguins draft pick had a very shaky start to the season, suffering big losses on big stages before turning it around recently. His 28-save effort on Saturday night against Maine gave BU a four-point weekend and was his second consecutive shutout. If he's able to spell Matt O'Connor with such strong work during the rest of the season, it's going to make BU a lot better.
