1st Star: UNH's Offense
Dick Umile began the season with confidence in his defense, but wondering where his offense would come from. Apparently, he wasn't counting on Grayson Downing. The Abbotsford, British Columbia native has five goals and two assists in his past three games, and has boosted a Wildcat offense that's suddenly averaging five goals per game over their last four outings.
2nd Star: Brody Hoffman
Vermont didn't take three points from a struggling Maine team by accident; the freshman netminder stopped 67 Maine attempts on the weekend including 10 in the third period of Friday's 2-1 win at Alfond Arena, which is quickly losing the aura of being the place that opponents hate to play.
3rd Star: Boston College Power Play
The Eagles man-up attack had converted on 12 of 41 chances heading into Saturday night's rubber match with BU. But against the Terriers, BC netted four power play goals on eight attempts, powering the Eagles to a win in the season series.
