2016-2017 Minnesota Mr. Hockey Finalists

The Minnesota Minute Men have announced the ten finalists for the Minnesota Mr. Hockey award, given annually to the state of Minnesota’s top senior high school hockey player.

Here are this year’s nominees:

Matt Anderson, Defenseman, Holy Family Catholic(Minnesota Duluth)

Noah Cates, Forward, Stillwater(Minnesota Duluth)

Nick Leivermann, Defenseman, Eden Prairie(Notre Dame)

Ben Meyers, Forward, Delano-Rockford(Maine)

Casey Mittelstadt, Forward, Eden Prairie(Minnesota)

Micah Miller, Forward, Grand Rapids(St. Cloud State)

Bauer Neudecker, Forward, St. Louis Park

Nick Perbix, Defenseman, Elk River(St. Cloud State)

Dylan Samberg, Defenseman, Hermantown(Minnesota Duluth)

Ryan Sandelin, Forward, Hermantown(Minnesota State)

Casey Mittelstadt is still expected to win this year’s award. Hill-Murray’s Jake Begley and Hermantown’s Cade McEwen were the two goalies nominated for the Frank Brimsek award as the state’s top senior goalie.
