Super 8 Hockey returns to Tsongas Center Wednesday and Thursday

No. 1 BC High and three-time defending champion Malden Catholic can move on to the semifinals with victories in tonight's games.

Lowell, Mass. -- Super 8 hockey action returns to the Tsongas Center on the campus of UMass Lowell Wednesday and Thursday night as the four quarterfinal matchups reach game two of the best-of-three series.

No. 1 BC High, up 1-0 in the series, looks to put away No. 8 Xaverian in the first game Wednesday at 6 p.m. followed by No. 2 Malden Catholic going for the series sweep over No. 7 Catholic Memorial at 8 p.m.

No. 3 Springfield Cathedral, up 1-0 in the series, takes on No. 6 Duxbury, the only public school team in the tournament, Thursday at 6 p.m. followed by the No. 5 Central Catholic trying to even its series with No. 4 Austin Prep.
