BOSTON--- Tyler Sifferlen doesn't know how it feels to lose the final high school hockey game of the season. That's because the senior who is committed to UMass Lowell has now won four Super 8 championships in his spectacular four year high school hockey career.

Sifferlen scored twice and Ara Nazarian, Matt Filipe and Nick Rolli added a goal each as the Lancers defeated Austin Prep, 5-3. It was a quick-strike ability that MC has exhibited so often over this four-year run that slammed the door on the Cougars in the second period. The Lancers scored three times in just over three minutes.

Sifferlen was the unquestioned MVP of the tournament. The North Andover, Mass. native will play a year of junior hockey before matriculating to UMass Lowell.

In other state championship games at the TD Garden on Sunday, Reading defeated Braintree, 4-1, in Division 1; Beverly dispatched Medfield, 2-1, in Division 2; and Shrewsbury thumped Hanover, 7-1, in Division 3.
